Books for the Wealthy

Ah, another summer reading list. J.P. Morgan Chase (the largest U.S. bank) provides a list of ten suggested reads to its wealthiest clients. The books are “applicable to business leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and emerging family leaders worldwide”. (What the heck is an emerging family leader? Anyone who’s about to become a parent? Or those planning to establish and run a cult?)

Hmm, I didn’t get mine, perhaps they are lost in the mail. 😉  What about you?

The books are all non-fiction, but amazingly, they are not all about finance and money. The list:

Creative Schools: The Grassroots Revolution That’s Transforming Education

Deep Down Dark: The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine, and the Miracle That Set Them Free

Every Gift Matters: How Your Passion Can Change the World

How to Fly a Horse: The Secret History of Creation, Invention and Discovery

Rain: A Natural and Cultural History

Saturday Night Live: The Book

Where Chefs Eat: A Guide to Chefs’ Favorite Restaurants

World Order by Henry Kissinger

The Wright Brothers by David McCullough
